OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAT - UK
     It is uninternationally recognized qualification and respected in all employment sectors.
     It is a highly regarded professional accountancy qualification for people working in accounting support roles.
     Automatic transfer to ACCA Examination and exemption from its Part 1.
     You can qualify ACCA in just THREE YEARS including one and a half year required for CAT.
     You will be in a better position to do CA after becoming an ACCA.
     It has flexibility in examination and study methods.
     On completion you will be called ACCA Accounting Technician and entitled to use the designation
       CAT (Certified Accounting Technician).
     At any stage of your studies, you can shift to any educational institution in UK without any break and with lenient
       visa laws.

ELIGIBILITY
Age of 16 years or above with even no formal education.

STAGES AND SUBJECTS
There are total nine papers to be passed in three levels.

Level A (Multiple Choice questions-MCQ's 2 hours examination-Pass Marks-55).

     Tl- Transaction Accounting
     T2- Office Practice and Procedure

Level B (MCQs, Short form, description and Numerical Question-2 hours examination-Pass Marks-40).

     T3- Maintaining Financial Records and Accounts
     T4- Cost Accounting Systems
     T5- Information Technology Processes

Level C (Subjective and Numerical questions 3 hours examination-Pass Marks-40).

     T6 - Drafting Financial Statements (Industry and Commerce) OR - A Drafting Financial Statements (Public Sector)
     T7 - Information for Management Optional Subjects (two from four)
     T8 - Auditing Practices and Procedures
     T9 - Preparing Taxation Computations and Returns
     T10- Managing Finances
     T11- Managing People

THE RULES FOR CAT


     Registration with ACCA(UK) is mandatory before attempting any paper of CAT.
     CAT can be completed even in one exam session (6month).
     Students can sit for any number of examinations in any order at a single exam session.However,they cannot
sit for Paper Based Examination For 1 & 6 or 2 & 7 simultaneously in the same session. If students wish to attempt these papers togther,papers 1 and/or 2 can be taken by Computer Based Exam(CBE)
     All exame passes wil be retained.
     Paper Based Examination (PBE) can be attempted twice a year whereas CBE can be attmpted throughout the
year at any approved CBE cener.PAC is also an approved CBE center of ACCA.
     In addation to the examination, a student will also have to gain one year relevant financial training
and meet ACCA's Competence requairments to become a Technician Member.
     Training can be obtained before,durining or after studying for the CAT examination in any employment sector and in any part of the world.However,this training is not mandatory for student pursuing ACCA after CAT.

PBE enter dedline for the june attempt is 31st March and for the December attempt 30th Sept.at loacal ACCA office. For Glasgow office, the dedline for exam entery is lenient for another 15 days.CBE registration at PAC is done aproximately one month before the date of CBE.

EXEMPTION SCHEME
Exemption from some of the nine CAT examinations may be available to holders of the following qualification:
