Introduction PAC
The Professionals' Academy of Commerce (PAC) is an approved accountancy education provider of various National and International Professional Bodies. Pac, a group entity of The Professionals' Group of Educational Institutions, was established in 1988 by Mr. Ishfaq Ahmed, FCA when he set up The Academy of Professional Accountants (APA). Today PAC is a name to reckon with in accountancy education circles across the globe. It is not only serving the maximum number of students in the country but also has best results.

The Academy's publishing wing Ishfaq Publishing Company (IPC) has been producing quality study and examination practice material for more than a decade. These IPC publications are facilitating thousands of CA, ACCA, CAT and other commerce related professional students in their pursuit of studies.

Apart from imparting quality accountancy education PAC is also providing auditing and accounting training to senior level government officials and business executives.

At Present PAC has three purpose built campuses, one each in Lahore, Peshawar and Gujranwala. All campuses are very spacious, equipped with latest teaching facilities and located within the transport circuit.

Libraries
Libraries of PAC are very spacious and contain a large number of books on professional and general subjects. A variety of newspapers, journals and magazines are also available in these libraries.

Computer Lab
PAC's most modern computer labs are equipped with the latest computers. Labs are not only providing hands-on experience to the students in LAN and Windows-NT environment but are also bringing them in contact with the latest developments in the field of information technology like electronic mail and internet. These labs are also approved for holding of Computer-Based Examination of ACCA (UK).

Study tours and Co-curricular activities
Study tours of industry, business & finance houses and special lectures on topics of current importance are arranged for the students. Facilities for indoor and outdoor games are also available. Sports, debates and quiz competitions are also arranged periodically. PAC also arranges recreational tours. The Prize Distribution Ceremonies of the Academy are well-known for their decent glamour.

What is Chartered Accountancy?
Chartered Accountancy is recognized as the best qualification in Accountancy all over the world. In Pakistan this profession is controlled by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). ICAP is statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961. At present, the ICAP has a membership of about 5,000 qualified Chartered Accountants.


Why should you OPT for Chartered Accountancy?

A Pakistani Chartered Accountant is considered as a competent professional all over the world. You will be a top ranking executive in commerce and industry. You can set up your own accountancy firm. You can be a very high level government official. You need not acquire any further qualification in Accountancy for the advancement of your career.

PRE-ENTRY PROFICIENCY TEST (PPT)
It is a two hours entry level test, which comprises of English, Arithmetic & Logic and General Knowledge.


Eligibility for PPT

a) Bachelor Degree holders (Second Division or less) and Post Graduates (below Second Division ) from Universities recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
b) Non-graduates (with at least 45% marks in HSC or 'A' levels at least two passes with minimum Grade E).
c) Candidates are allowed to appear in PPT on awaiting result basis.



Exemptions
Candidates who have passed the following examinations will be exempted from PPT.

Intermediate 1st Division
A-Levels with minimum two C grades
Bachelor 1st Division
Masters from recognized universities minimum 2nd Division
ICMA Intermediate & ICMA III Part, Professional - 1 students.
PIPFA (Pak)
ACCA (UK)



Professional Training
All students aspiring to become Chartered Accountants have to undergo practical training in any firm of Chartered Accountants. For Training Period please refer to the route tree.


Registration with the ICAP
The students are required to get themselves registered with the following departments of the ICAP at the timings written opposite to the students entering through each route.
